The Foundation for International Missions (FFIM), a not-for-profit organization, exists to further the gospel of Jesus Christ by making a difference in the lives of others.
Originally founded by a group of members from the First Presbyterian Church of St. Petersburg, Florida, active support is now provided by eight churches and many individuals throughout the United States. After several years of leasing a temporary site, the organization celebrated the grand opening of their first project in which the group embarked in January 2010: The New Hope Clinic in San Francisco, Honduras which provides low cost medical services to the area residents. The clinic which is operated by a small staff of locals is a place of refuge for area residents who might not be able to obtain medical care if not for the clinic. If a patient is unable to pay for services, it is provided at no cost.
In 2012, a missions guest house was added on the property to accommodate up to 34 mission trip participants or interns visiting in the area.
